4-3-26   THOUGHTS

We read some of the most NECESSARY WORDS ever written this morning.  They have the power to save souls!  Think on these things!  The events housed in these words demand our attention and response!

John 19:28-30   After this,
Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture,  said, "I am thirsty."  29  A jar full of sour wine was standing there; so they put a sponge full of the sour wine upon a branch of hyssop and brought it up to His mouth.  30  Therefore when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.
John 20:18-20  Mary Magdalene came, announcing to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and that He had said these things to her.  19   So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you."  20  And when He had said this,
He showed them both His hands and His side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw the Lord.

Our Prayer:
O Father of Jesus and the Author of our salvation, Thank You.  We desire to be with you for eternity.  We are awed that You desire a close relationship with us, weak as we are.  With all of our might, help us to seek Your presence that we may have life in the present!   Revive us, O Lord, as we think about the death and burial and resurrection of Jesus.  In His precious name,    Amen.
